There is no parking affiliated with the museum but visitors arriving by car can use Ally Center’s 1,400-space parking garage or public parking in front of the Museum. If you are planning on driving, please allow time to find a parking spot.

Visitors traveling by light rail can exit at Stonewall. MOI Charlotte is just a 4 minute walk from the station. The bus station closest to our location is at CTC Arena. MOI Charlotte is a 13 minute walk away from the station.

Tickets are not required for children who are ages 3 and younger. They can enter MOI for free!

We are wheelchair friendly – some exhibits are not accesible due to the nature of the structure, however with over 60 exhibits, there’s a lots to do!
