  • The Museum of Illusions is cashless. We accept card payments only.

  • The experience should typically last between 45 and 90 minutes.

  • Food and drinks are not permitted inside the exhibition areas. However, there are many cafés and restaurants nearby to enjoy.

  • Tickets are not required for children who are ages 3 and younger. They can enter MOI for free!

  • Parking is available at:

    • Lifestyle on Kloof underground parking : 50 Kloof Street.
    • Kloof Street Hotel Basement : Access via Dorman Street off Kloof Street.
    • On-street Metered Parking on Kloof Street – as and when available.
    • Jubilee Church parking – limited parking.

  • We are wheelchair friendly – some exhibits are not accesible due to the nature of the structure, however with over 60 exhibits, there’s a lots to do!

  • Yes, our venue can accommodate prams.

  • Absolutely! The museum is designed for all ages. Kids will love the interactive illusions, mind-bending exhibits, and photo ops.

  • The Museum of Illusions is open 7 days a week, including public holidays.

    • Monday – Wednesday : 9am – 8:00pm (Last admission: 7pm)
    • Thursday – Sunday: 9am – 10pm (Last admission: 9pm)

  • The family ticket includes 2 adults tickets, and 2 tickets for children under 12.

  • Yes! We offer special rates and guided experiences for school groups, team buildings, and private events.

    • Adults: R250p/person
    • Children (ages 4–12): R200p/person
    • Seniors: R220p/person
    • Family Pass (2 Adults + 2 Kids): R770 for the bundle
